Role: Co-Investigator

I am a Research Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico's Center on Alcohol, Substance use, And Addictions (CASAA), working across several of the IMPOWR studies and projects. I completed my undergraduate training at the University of Washington working at the Addictive Behaviors Research Center, the Center for the Study of Health and Risk Behaviors, and the Harm Reduction Research and Treatment Center as an undergraduate and post-baccalaureate research coordinator. I completed my clinical psychology graduate training at the University of New Mexico in the Addictive Behaviors and Quantitative Research lab. I have spent the last 5 years of my career implementing evidence-based treatments for substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions at the VA Puget Sound and New Mexico VA Health Care Systems. As a licensed clinical psychologist with specialization in researching and providing treatments for clients with substance use concerns and co-occurring diagnoses such as chronic pain and PTSD, I am excited to serve as a member of the IMPOWR Study Team.
